Über Stifel Europe Bank, A.G, Sucursal en España

Stifel Europe Bank, A.G, Sucursal en España is the Spanish branch of Stifel Europe Bank AG, a Frankfurt-based credit institution within Stifel’s European platform, focused on institutional and corporate clients rather than retail banking. In Spain the branch provides MiFID II investment services including equity research distribution, sales and trading/execution, corporate broking, and investment banking advisory and placement; it does not market consumer deposits, payment accounts, cards, or retail loans, and client onboarding is generally limited to professional clients and eligible counterparties. The bank is authorised in Germany and subject to the European banking supervision framework (with BaFin and the ECB responsible for prudential supervision at head-office level) and operates the Spanish branch on an EU passport; host-state oversight in Spain applies to branch activities (Banco de España for banking aspects and the CNMV for investment services and conduct). Client money and financial instruments related to investment services are held in segregated accounts in line with MiFID II safeguarding rules, and order handling follows a documented best execution policy with conflicts-of-interest controls. Pricing is mandate-based and set out in client agreements; access to research follows MiFID II unbundling requirements. Eligible deposits, if any are taken at the German entity level, are protected by Germany’s statutory deposit guarantee up to EUR 100,000 per depositor, and certain investment-services claims may be covered by the German investor compensation scheme in line with EU rules. Complaints should be addressed first to the branch; unresolved matters can be escalated to the Banco de España or the CNMV, depending on the service involved.
