Caisse d’épargne et de prévoyance d’Auvergne et du Limousin (Caisse d’Epargne Auvergne Limousin, often abbreviated CEPAL) is a French regional cooperative savings bank within Groupe BPCE, serving individuals, professionals, enterprises, associations and local public bodies across the Auvergne and Limousin area, including the departments of Allier, Cantal, Haute-Loire, Puy-de-Dôme, Corrèze, Creuse and Haute-Vienne. Its offer covers current accounts, debit and credit cards, overdraft facilities, domestic and international payments, and online and mobile banking, alongside regulated and tax-advantaged savings products (Livret A, LDDS, LEP, PEL/CEL), term deposits, securities accounts and PEAs, life insurance and investment funds distributed through BPCE channels. Lending includes home loans, consumer credit and professional financing; for businesses it provides accounts, cash management, merchant acquiring and POS solutions via BPCE Payment Services, and access to group leasing and factoring services. Account opening and credit are subject to eligibility and KYC/affordability checks; fees and rates follow published schedules, with regulated savings rates set by the authorities. Digital services support strong customer authentication and card security protocols, with SEPA transfers (including instant where available) and compatibility with major mobile wallets when supported. As part of a cooperative group, governance involves local shareholder-members (sociétaires). The institution is supervised within the French and European prudential framework (ACPR/ECB). Eligible deposits are protected by the Fonds de Garantie des Dépôts et de Résolution up to EUR 100,000 per depositor, per institution.
