Banka CREDITAS a.s. is a Czech commercial bank operating under a license from the Czech National Bank, commencing banking operations in January 2017 after the transformation of the former CREDITAS savings cooperative. It forms part of the CREDITAS Group, an investment holding controlled by Pavel Hubáček with activities across finance and other sectors; the bank itself functions as a separate regulated entity. The product range covers current and savings accounts, term deposits, domestic and cross-border payments, debit cards, consumer loans, mortgages, and financing for small and medium-sized enterprises, supported by foreign exchange and basic treasury services. Services are provided through internet and mobile banking and a branch network in selected locations. Deposits are protected by the Czech Deposit Insurance Fund up to the statutory limit of the equivalent of EUR 100,000 per depositor per bank. The bank is subject to Czech and EU prudential regulation and disclosure requirements, including PSD2 open banking obligations. Within the wider group, a separate retail bank (Max banka a.s.) operates following the acquisition and rebranding of the former Expobank CZ; this is a distinct entity and does not affect Banka CREDITAS a.s.’s licensing or governance.
