Thüringer Aufbaubank (TAB), Anstalt des öffentlichen Rechts, is the development bank of the Free State of Thuringia headquartered in Erfurt. It does not operate as a universal retail bank and does not offer products like current accounts or consumer payments; activities are geographically focused on Thuringia and limited to purposes defined in program law and the state budget. Applications are filed either via house banks or through the bank’s online funding portal, processing times vary by program and budget cycle, and funding volumes, interest conditions, and call windows can change during EU programming periods or state budget rounds. TAB publishes annual financial statements and program statistics, and its risk management covers credit, compliance, and audit requirements specific to subsidy administration and promotional lending.
