FCA Bank S.p.A. is an Italian banking group focused on automotive financial services, headquartered in Turin. It originated from FGA Capital, a joint venture between Fiat Group Automobiles and Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance, and became a bank in 2015 under the FCA Bank name. The group operated across multiple European markets, providing retail auto loans, personal contract purchase and leasing products, dealer floorplan financing, and insurance and ancillary services; it also raised funding through online savings accounts and time deposits offered to the public in several countries. FCA Bank was supervised by the Bank of Italy within the European regulatory framework and participated in Italy’s deposit guarantee scheme (Fondo Interbancario di Tutela dei Depositi), which protects eligible deposits up to €100,000 per depositor per bank. It functioned as a captive and multi-brand financier, serving Stellantis-affiliated marques such as Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, Lancia, Abarth and Maserati, and, via commercial agreements, various non-Stellantis brands in selected markets. In 2023, Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance acquired the stake previously held by Stellantis and the group was rebranded as CA Auto Bank S.p.A.; mobility and leasing activities were reorganized around Drivalia, while Stellantis set up separate financing arrangements for its brands. Existing customer contracts continued under the new brand, although specific OEM partnerships and product availability may differ by country. The business relies on a mix of retail deposits and wholesale funding, with results influenced by vehicle sales volumes, residual value trends and credit conditions. Prospective customers should check the current legal entity and terms applicable in their market, as the FCA Bank brand has largely been retired and new originations are conducted by CA Auto Bank.
