Sobre Caixa Rural Torrent Cooperativa de Credit Valenciana

Caixa Rural Torrent, Cooperativa de Crédito Valenciana, is a member-owned cooperative credit institution based in Torrent (Valencia) and integrated in Grupo Caja Rural. It provides retail and small-business banking services such as current and savings accounts, term deposits, debit and credit cards, mortgages, consumer and auto loans, SME and agricultural financing, merchant acquiring, and the distribution of investment funds, pension plans, and insurance through group companies including Gescooperativo and RGA. Digital banking is delivered via the Ruralvía platform (web and app) with SEPA transfers, Bizum, and strong customer authentication under PSD2. As a cooperative, governance is exercised by a general assembly of members (socios); clients may become members by subscribing cooperative capital, which is not a deposit and is not covered by the deposit guarantee scheme. Caixa Rural Torrent participates in the Institutional Protection Scheme of Grupo Caja Rural, with Banco Cooperativo Español acting as the central entity for treasury, clearing, and other wholesale services. The institution is supervised by the Bank of Spain within the European banking framework, and deposits are protected by Spain’s Fondo de Garantía de Depósitos up to 100,000 euros per depositor and entity. It maintains a local branch presence in Torrent and nearby municipalities, and offers ATM access and card acceptance through national and international networks, with fees dependent on network agreements. Pricing, interest rates, and conditions are set out in tariffs filed with the Bank of Spain and in pre-contractual documentation, with mortgages commonly referenced to Euribor and subject to Spanish consumer protection and early repayment rules; customers have access to formal complaint channels (Customer Service and, where applicable, an external ombudsman) and can escalate unresolved claims to the Bank of Spain’s complaints service.
