About CAIXABANK, S.A. (SPÓŁKA AKCYJNA) ODDZIAŁ W POLSCE
CAIXABANK, S.A. (Spółka Akcyjna) Oddział w Polsce is the Polish branch of CaixaBank, S.A., a Spanish credit institution, operating locally under the EU single passport regime and registered in Poland as a branch of a foreign bank. The branch focuses on corporate and institutional clients, particularly companies with cross‑border activity between Poland and Spain or other markets served by the group, and provides transaction services (current accounts in PLN and major currencies, domestic and cross‑border payments including SEPA), cash management, trade finance (letters of credit, guarantees, documentary collections), working capital and term financing, and foreign exchange and treasury services; it does not operate a retail network or market mass‑market consumer products in Poland. As a branch, its liabilities are obligations of CaixaBank, S.A.; prudential supervision is conducted at the head‑office level within the EU’s Single Supervisory Mechanism (European Central Bank in cooperation with Banco de España), while the Polish Financial Supervision Authority oversees conduct of business and compliance with local rules. If the branch accepts deposits, they are covered by Spain’s deposit guarantee scheme (Fondo de Garantía de Depósitos) up to €100,000 per depositor in line with EU rules, rather than by the Polish Bank Guarantee Fund. Client onboarding follows standard corporate KYC and AML procedures, service is delivered through dedicated relationship managers and corporate e‑banking channels, documentation is typically available in Polish and English, and pricing for services and credit is individually agreed and reflected in contracts and applicable fee schedules.
