About CACEIS BANK
CACEIS Bank is the banking arm of the CACEIS group, a French credit institution authorized by the ACPR and subject to oversight under the European Single Supervisory Mechanism. It focuses on asset servicing for professional and institutional clients, providing global custody and safekeeping, depositary services under UCITS and AIFMD, fund administration and accounting, transfer agency, middle- and back-office outsourcing, clearing and settlement, cash and FX, securities lending and collateral management, and issuer and corporate trust services. The client base includes management companies and regulated funds (including private equity, real estate and debt funds), insurers, pension funds, banks and brokers, and corporates. Operations are run through entities and branches in key European fund domiciles such as France, Luxembourg, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain and Switzerland, with additional coverage via a sub-custodian network where the bank is not a direct market participant. In July 2023, CACEIS closed the acquisition of RBC Investor Services’ European asset servicing business, expanding its footprint in Luxembourg and Ireland; the acquired Luxembourg bank was renamed CACEIS Investor Services Bank S.A. and continues to operate within the group. Client financial instruments are held in segregated accounts and, where delegated to sub-custodians, are subject to oversight and liability provisions set by applicable regulations; the depositary function carries strict restitution obligations for loss of financial instruments in custody, subject to defined legal exceptions. Pricing is negotiated bilaterally and typically combines asset-based fees with transaction, service and out-of-pocket charges, with minimums that can be significant for smaller mandates. CACEIS Bank forms part of the Crédit Agricole S.A. group, with Banco Santander holding a significant minority interest in the CACEIS perimeter; it reports capital and liquidity ratios under CRR/CRD and is followed by major credit rating agencies with consideration of group support. The bank does not offer retail banking services and onboards institutional clients through KYC/AML due diligence and operational testing. Cash balances with the French entity fall within the scope of the French deposit guarantee scheme, while securities are held off balance sheet under custody rules; coverage and limits depend on client status and jurisdiction. Service coverage, market cut-offs, and operating models vary by location and product, and the group maintains formal service-level commitments and incident reporting aligned with regulatory expectations for safeguarding, outsourcing and operational resilience.
