About BFF bank
BFF Bank S.p.A., formerly Banca Farmafactoring, is an Italian listed bank that specializes in financing and managing trade receivables owed by public administrations and national health systems, operating across several European markets including Italy, Spain, Portugal and Poland. Its core activities include non-recourse factoring, reverse factoring, credit management and collection, and short-term working capital solutions for suppliers to the public sector. Following the 2021 integration of DEPObank, the group also provides securities services (including custody, depositary and fund administration), treasury solutions and payment services to financial institutions and corporates. Funding is diversified between retail term deposits, offered online under brands such as Conto Facto/Cuenta Facto and through deposit marketplaces, and wholesale sources such as senior and subordinated debt. Retail deposits are protected by Italy’s Interbank Deposit Protection Fund up to €100,000 per depositor per bank, including EU branches, under harmonized rules. The retail proposition is focused on fixed-term deposits with digital onboarding; it does not offer a current account, cards or consumer lending, and early redemption on term products is generally not available. Business performance is closely linked to the timing of payments by public-sector debtors, the EU regulatory framework on late payments and factoring, and interest-rate dynamics; risk is concentrated in sovereign and sub-sovereign counterparties, with collections that can be protracted. The bank is authorized in Italy and subject to European prudential requirements and national supervision within the Single Supervisory Mechanism, and its shares trade on Borsa Italiana. Prospective clients should review local market conditions, product terms and applicable tax treatment before engaging.
