Sparkasse Jena-Saale-Holzland is a public-law savings bank headquartered in Jena and serving the city of Jena and the surrounding Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia; its legal sponsors are the City of Jena and the Saale-Holzland-Kreis. It is part of the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe and participates in the group’s institutional protection scheme (Haftungsverbund). Payments are processed in euro via SEPA, with international transfers available via SWIFT. The institution is subject to prudential supervision by BaFin and the Deutsche Bundesbank.
