Nykredit Bank A/S is the banking arm of Nykredit Group, a major Danish mortgage finance provider, offering retail and corporate banking services that complement the group’s mortgage lending conducted mainly through Nykredit Realkredit A/S and Totalkredit A/S. The bank provides current and savings accounts, domestic and international payment services, consumer and business lending, investment and wealth management solutions, and markets services such as fixed income and foreign exchange execution for professional clients, delivered through digital platforms and advisory centers. Funding is derived from customer deposits and wholesale markets, while the wider group relies heavily on Danish covered bonds; Nykredit Bank participates in distribution and market activities related to those instruments. The group is majority owned by Forenet Kredit, a member-based association, alongside institutional minority investors, and is not stock exchange listed. Nykredit Bank is supervised by the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority and subject to EU banking rules on capital, liquidity, and conduct, and it publishes statutory disclosures including Pillar 3 reports. Eligible deposits are protected by the Danish Guarantee Fund for Depositors and Investors up to the equivalent of EUR 100,000 per depositor per bank, with limited higher protection for certain temporary balances as defined in Danish law. Account opening and credit availability are subject to standard identification, affordability, and anti money laundering requirements, and access for non-residents may be restricted.
