O CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK ROMANIA S.A.
CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK ROMANIA S.A. operated as a Bucharest‑based commercial bank offering retail, SME, and corporate banking services, with a product set that included current and savings accounts in local and major foreign currencies, term deposits, debit and credit cards, domestic and cross‑border payments, consumer and mortgage lending, working capital and investment loans for businesses, trade finance, cash management, and basic treasury and foreign exchange services; the bank also provided financing to agricultural clients, reflecting the group’s sector focus. Its services were delivered through branches, ATMs, a call center, and online and mobile banking platforms. The institution was supervised by the National Bank of Romania, and eligible deposits were protected by the Romanian Bank Deposit Guarantee Fund up to the statutory limit (currently the RON equivalent of EUR 100,000 per depositor, per bank), subject to legal conditions and exclusions. CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK ROMANIA S.A. originated from Emporiki Bank’s local operations and later operated under the Crédit Agricole brand; in 2022–2023, its shares were sold and the business was subsequently integrated into Vista Bank (Romania) S.A., with client accounts, contracts, and digital channels migrated to Vista Bank’s infrastructure and the Crédit Agricole brand withdrawn from the market. Former customers should refer to Vista Bank for current terms, fees, IBAN details, card reissues, and service availability, and direct any complaints through Vista Bank’s procedures and the applicable Romanian authorities. As with any banking relationship, clients face standard risks related to fees, currency conversion, variable interest rates, and early repayment or break conditions defined in contract and law.
