Sobre RAIFFEISENLANDESBANK NIEDERÖSTERREICH-WIEN AG
Raiffeisenlandesbank Niederösterreich-Wien AG (RLB NÖ-Wien) is the regional central institution for the Raiffeisen banks in Lower Austria and Vienna and a member of Raiffeisen Banking Group Austria, headquartered in Vienna. It operates with a dual mandate: as the central bank for local Raiffeisen cooperatives it provides clearing, treasury and liquidity management, syndication, product platforms and risk services; as a commercial bank it focuses on corporate and institutional clients, real estate and project finance, public sector lending, cash management, trade finance, markets/treasury and private banking/wealth management. The bank is majority controlled by Raiffeisen-Holding Niederösterreich-Wien, reflecting cooperative ownership structures, and is a core shareholder of Raiffeisen Bank International, making dividend income and valuation effects from that stake a recurring factor in performance. The balance sheet is in the tens of billions of euros and is funded through customer deposits, Austrian covered bonds (including mortgage and public-sector Pfandbriefe), senior preferred and non-preferred debt, and subordinated capital, with regular issuance in domestic and international markets, including ESG-labelled formats. RLB NÖ-Wien is supervised under the EU Single Supervisory Mechanism (FMA/ECB), participates in the Raiffeisen sector’s institutional protection scheme, reports under IFRS and manages to SREP and MREL requirements; it carries investment-grade ratings from major agencies. Credit risk is concentrated in regional corporates, SMEs, commercial real estate and the public sector; market and interest-rate risks arise from treasury activities; strategic risks include dependence on the Raiffeisen network and indirect exposure to RBI’s international footprint. Services are delivered through relationship managers, specialized product units and digital channels, with operations centered on Lower Austria and Vienna and select cross-border activities aligned to client demand.
