Banco CTT, S.A. is a Portuguese retail bank owned by CTT – Correios de Portugal, S.A., incorporated in 2015 and launched to the public in 2016, with headquarters in Lisbon. It distributes banking services through the national postal network alongside dedicated branches and digital channels. The product set includes current accounts and payments (euro IBANs and SEPA transfers, Multibanco debit), term deposits and savings, consumer credit, and mortgage lending; auto finance is offered through the group’s subsidiary 321 Crédito – Instituição Financeira de Crédito, S.A., which operates largely via car dealerships. Banco CTT is authorized and supervised by Banco de Portugal and, where applicable for investment services it distributes, by the CMVM; eligible customer deposits are covered by the Portuguese Deposit Guarantee Scheme up to EUR 100,000 per depositor, per institution. Operations are provided under the PSD2 framework with strong customer authentication on digital channels. Pricing, interest rates, and lending criteria follow the bank’s published pre-contractual information and can change; in Portugal, many mortgages are indexed to Euribor with a spread, and consumer loans may carry fixed or variable rates subject to statutory early-repayment rules. Accounts can be opened and serviced via post offices or online, and complaints can be filed through the official Livro de Reclamações and the competent supervisors. The bank focuses on the domestic market and does not maintain an international branch footprint.
