À propos de Tipperary Credit Union Limited

Tipperary Credit Union Limited is a member-owned financial cooperative based in County Tipperary, operating under the Credit Union Act 1997 (as amended) and supervised by the Central Bank of Ireland. Membership is restricted by a common bond, typically covering people who live, work, or study in the defined local area. It provides standard Irish credit union services, notably share (savings) accounts and consumer lending such as personal, car, education, and home improvement loans, with interest charged on the reducing balance; rates, loan terms, and representative APRs are published by the credit union and are subject to change. Any surplus may be returned to members as a dividend on shares or a loan interest rebate, but distributions are not guaranteed. Eligible member savings are protected by the Irish Deposit Guarantee Scheme up to €100,000 per person per institution. Account opening and lending follow regulatory requirements, including identification, address verification, PPS number collection, affordability assessment, and reporting to the Central Credit Register. The credit union offers in-branch and digital account management, with online facilities for balance checks, transfers, and loan applications; fees can apply to certain services, and savings limits may be imposed. As with most credit unions, the product range is narrower than that of a full-service bank, and availability of services such as current accounts, debit cards, or mortgages depends on the institution’s specific offerings and capacity at a given time. Complaints can be made through its internal process with recourse to the Financial Services and Pensions Ombudsman if unresolved.
