SGB-Bank S.A.

SGB-Bank S.A. is the affiliating bank of the Spółdzielcza Grupa Bankowa cooperative network in Poland and is headquartered in Poznań. It acts as the central institution for affiliated cooperative banks, providing liquidity management, settlement, product development, treasury, and risk/compliance support, while also serving retail, SME, and public-sector clients directly through its own channels. The bank offers current and savings accounts, time deposits, consumer and housing loans, business lending, bank guarantees, payment cards, and foreign exchange services. It operates in national and European payment schemes, including domestic clearing systems and SEPA, and supports widely used mobile and contactless payment instruments. Digital access is provided via online banking and a mobile app used by SGB-Bank and many affiliated cooperative banks. Ownership is concentrated among member cooperative banks; the institution is supervised by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) and deposits are protected by the Bank Guarantee Fund (BFG) up to the statutory limit equivalent to EUR 100,000 per depositor. SGB-Bank publishes audited financial statements and regulatory reports, and is subject to capital and liquidity requirements under EU and Polish law. The cooperative structure means distribution is primarily through independent local cooperative banks within the group, with conditions and pricing that can vary by institution, while SGB-Bank provides the shared infrastructure, settlement arrangements, and group-level risk and treasury services.
