N Banka d.d., Ljubljana was a Slovenian joint-stock commercial bank created in March 2022 when the local subsidiary of Sberbank Europe AG was transferred to Nova Ljubljanska banka d.d. (NLB) under a resolution led by European authorities; it operated under the interim N Banka brand and was merged into NLB in 2023, with customer accounts and services migrated. Before the merger, it offered standard retail and SME banking products such as current and savings accounts in euro, term deposits, debit and credit cards, consumer and housing loans, business accounts, working-capital facilities, and domestic and cross-border payments, supported by online and mobile banking and a nationwide branch and ATM presence. Activities fell under the Slovenian and EU regulatory framework (including Banka Slovenije), and eligible deposits were protected by the statutory deposit guarantee scheme up to EUR 100,000 per depositor per bank; following the merger, deposit protection applies through NLB under the same regime. Fees, interest rates, and eligibility varied by product and client segment, and legacy N Banka relationships continued under the migration terms communicated to customers; new onboarding and product information are handled by NLB, which is now the point of contact for servicing and pricing.
