À propos de Klarna Bank, filial af Klarna Bank AB (publ), Sverige
Klarna Bank, filial af Klarna Bank AB (publ), Sverige is the Danish branch of Klarna Bank AB, a Swedish-licensed bank that provides payment services and consumer credit connected to online and in‑app purchases. In Denmark, the branch facilitates invoice-based payments (“pay later”), interest-free installment options, and longer-term financing, typically embedded at merchant checkout and managed through Klarna’s app; availability and terms vary by merchant and product. Credit is subject to assessment, and missed or late payments can trigger fees and interest and may be reported in line with local rules. Pricing is disclosed at checkout or in the credit agreement; promotional, interest-free periods may apply, while revolving or fixed-term financing generally carries an APR. The firm is subject to PSD2 requirements, including strong customer authentication, and to EU consumer credit rules, such as a right of withdrawal within the applicable statutory period. Prudential supervision lies with Finansinspektionen (Sweden); conduct in Denmark is subject to host-state oversight, including by Finanstilsynet. Eligible deposits held with Klarna Bank AB, including via EEA branches, fall under the Swedish deposit guarantee administered by the Swedish National Debt Office (currently aligned with the EU limit of up to EUR 100,000 per depositor, per bank). The app consolidates purchases, invoices, and repayment schedules and can generate virtual cards for certain transactions. Identity verification is required under anti–money laundering legislation. Complaints follow Klarna’s internal process and can be escalated to the relevant alternative dispute resolution body in Sweden or Denmark, depending on the service and jurisdiction.
