Informazioni Crédit Foncier de France
Crédit Foncier de France is a French specialized mortgage institution founded in the 19th century and integrated into Groupe BPCE; it no longer originates new loans, with origination discontinued and legacy portfolios managed in run-off and servicing mode since 2019. Historically it financed residential mortgages for individuals (including regulated products such as PAS and PTZ), buy-to-let and bridge loans, as well as social housing and local authorities, and it funded itself mainly on capital markets through covered bonds (obligations foncières) issued by Compagnie de Financement Foncier rather than by taking retail deposits, so it is not a full-service retail bank and does not offer current accounts, cards or everyday payments. Existing borrowers continue to be serviced under their original contractual terms, including interest-rate mechanisms, insurance arrangements and early-repayment conditions set under French consumer-credit regulation, while new lending needs are referred to other BPCE entities such as Banque Populaire and Caisse d’Épargne or to partner distributors. The brand’s remaining scope centers on portfolio administration, collections, investor reporting and management of the covered bond vehicle; branch and digital presence are limited and focused on customer support rather than sales. Oversight falls within the French and euro-area prudential framework through BPCE; deposit-guarantee considerations are limited because the institution does not collect deposits.
